Once upon a time, a bonny lass named Belinda got a call from her regional co-ordinator, or fairy godmother for the purposes of this fairytale –style blog post .
She just thought she was going to be helping her local somewhereto_ team in Leicester as the city welcomed the Olympic Torch for the relay, a glorious celebration (bit like a ball, but during the day) for all the land to enjoy.
Belinda says, “ Once upon a time an organisation called somewhereto_ was born; and then more opportunities were born with the name somewhereto_
Little did she know that she would take centre stage and actually end up running with the torch herself, and crystalising the amazing once in a lifetime opportunity by triumphantly kissing the much coveted torch, and all in her bright and beautiful somewhereto_ hoodie too.
“Had it not been of this wonderful initiative for young people …my dream of holding the Olympics Torch was going to die as a fairy-tale.”
The moral of the story boys and girls? In the word of Belinda : “somewhereto_ can make your dreams come true…I would encourage all young people to sign up to somewhereto_ as you never know what it’ll bring your way…little did I know I was going to end up holding and kissing the torch. BANG!”
