As an animator himself, James wanted a space to hold his own animation film festival, to provide workshops, industry talks and to screen films for anyone involved in or just interested in animation.

“This festival came out of a need to share the contacts we had made and mainly share our passion for animation, I think on both accounts we have achieved this.” - James

somewhereto_ was able to get him space at the Phoenix Digital Arts Centre in Leicester, the perfect place to hold such an exciting event!

“It’s really important to have festivals like this in the West Midlands, there isn’t a huge animation scene here yet. It’s great to get young people involved and allow them to use equipment they wouldn’t normally use. Hopefully they’ll get bitten by the animation bug and we’ll inspire the next generation of budding animators!” - Amy, animator & attendee
